2013, February 24 – American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX -

Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Lakers squared off for a great noon nationally televised Sunday game. It looked like two top seeded teams going at it for a big game but it was really two teams trying hard not to miss the playoffs. Nonetheless it was crazy exciting and close until Kobe took over. Kobe finished with 38 points and went 5 for 5 in the 4th as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Dallas Mavericks 103-99

2012-2013 NBA Season at the All Star Break

Now that we have reached the half way point of the 2012-2013 NBA season I thought I’d get a jump of my Best Of series for the first half of the season. The Mavs aren’t where we would like to be, 6 games under .500 but they are fighting hard to get back into the playoff race. Hopefully we can turn this around in the second half and make a push for the playoffs but until them, ¬†here are a few, ok 40 or so, images I liked the most for one reason or another. These images are not in order by date but however I just happened to edit them that day. Enjoy!

Best of the NBA for 2012:

A few of my favorite/best shots of the 2012 calendar year includes everything from the Championship Ring ceremony of the Dallas Mavericks to the most recent game just before Christmas. There are a couple more games before the end of the year so if anything else catches my eye I’ll update this post. Until then I hope you enjoy my best shots of this year.

2012: National Football League

It’s been a couple years since I’ve done a best of, mainly because it takes so much time to go through them and get them posted but I’m going to try and get some done for this past year. Here a what I feel are either my best shots or just the ones I liked the best for the past 12 months.

NCAA Football: University of Texas Longhorns vs University of Oklahoma Sooners – Red River Rivalry

The Oklahoma Sooners dominated this years game from the beginning as they ran all over the Texas defense and locked down the Longhorns offense. 63-21 was the final and honestly the game wasn’t even that close as Texas scored twice in the last few minutes of the game. By the beginning of the 4th quarter many of the Texas fans had already left the stadium I guess to go enjoy some corny dogs and fried Snickers at the Texas State Fairgrounds. Here are a few shots from the beating OU gave Texas.

2012, August 04 – Dallas, TX – Gexa Energy Pavillion:

“You Wanted The Best So You Got The Best. The Hottest Band In The World, KISS”

Since I was 8 yrs old I’ve loved KISS and today I feel no different. I didn’t work this show I was a fan but I took my small point and shoot Nikon and was able to snap off a few shots. Even though I prefer the original band together, Eric Singer on drums and Tommy Thayer on lead guitar are great replacements for Peter Criss and Ace Frehley. This show was as awesome as any KISS shows I’ve seen all the way to 1979 with platforms that lifted up to the top of the stage, confetti, blood & fire breathing (Gene), lights, and of course their famous pyros. Not to mention they sounded awesome they’ve hardly missed a beat. I felt like a kid again seeing them again and remembered all those Halloweens when I dressed up like KISS, with not only the make up but a pair of platform shoes that my Grandfather made me out of wood. KISS is still as awesome as they were back in the 70′s, 80′s and 90′s and I hope they continue playing until they are 100!
