2009, January 13, Dallas, TX, American Airlines Center:

Dirk Nowitzki, #41 of the Dallas Mavericks hit a milestone that continues to pave his road to the NBA Hall of Fame, 20,000 career points and counting. Dirk finished the night with 30 points however it wasn’t enough to keep the Mavs on top of Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. I was fortunate to have him in front of me when he hit 15,000 and now he was 5 feet from me when he hit 20,000.

Herzliche Glückwünsche Dirk! Here’s wishing you 20,000 more!

Kobe

Kobe didn’t do much in the first half due to taking it easy on his back. However in the fourth when he had to he sprung into action. Too bad it wasn’t on my end of the court.

Thanx KB for looking right at my camera!

While on the bench Kobe rested on the floor ala Steve Nash.

Marion is always good for a great posterized shot.

Josh usually takes mid-range jumpers but I was lucky enough to catch him driving to the basket on this possession.

Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum #17 finished with a Double-Double for the night.
